If we dispose of waste properly, this waste can become a valuable source of energy. Solid waste is a serious problem in human society in terms of economic development, environmental degradation and health problems. Under solid waste management, household and public level dustbins, compost pits, tricycles\/battery-operated tricycles for carrying waste, village-level storage units for plastic waste management, menstrual management units are done. In each revenue village, an amount of Rs. 60 per person for solid waste management in villages with a population of up to 5000 and Rs. 45 per person for solid waste management in villages with a population of more than 5000 is permissible. As per the instructions given in the government decision dated November 21, 2021, there is a provision for the Gram Panchayat to spend 30 percent of the work amount from the grant received from the 15th Finance Commission.
