Under the Water Quality Monitoring and Survey Programme, samples of public drinking water are collected twice a year during pre-monsoon (November to May) and post-monsoon (June to October) under Gram Panchayats and sent to sub-divisional laboratories for biological testing. Also, during the period of October to March, samples of public drinking water are sent to sub-divisional laboratories for chemical analysis. Samples of schools, Anganwadis, FHTCs and public drinking water are collected and these samples are subjected to biological and chemical analysis through FTK kits. Water samples are collected through WQMIS app by Jalsuraksha and sent to sub-divisional laboratories for testing. Also, cleanliness survey campaign is conducted twice a year during pre-monsoon (April 1 to April 30) and post-monsoon from October 2 to October 31. After the survey, green, yellow or red cards are distributed to the Gram Panchayats.
