Grants and Benefits: –
- Under this scheme, as per the guidelines of the Central Government, 60 percent subsidy is provided by the Central Government and 40 percent subsidy is provided by the State Government. 20,000/- and 30,000/- have been fixed for extremely remote, hilly and Naxalite areas. Rs. 1,20,000/- is provided as subsidy for construction of new shelters. In this, the Central Government's share of subsidy is 60 percent and the State Government's share of subsidy is 40 percent.
- While sanctioning the house, the first installment is Rs. 15, 000/-, the second installment is Rs. 70, 000/-, the third installment is Rs. 30, 000/-, the fourth installment is Rs. 5000/-.
- The construction of the toilet will also have to be completed during the construction period.
