According to the Government Decision dated 21.11.2016 from the Rural Development Department, under the R. R. (Aaba) Patil Sunder Gaon Puraskar Yojana, eight talukas of Palghar district are selected as Taluka Sunder Gaon, an award amount of Rs. ten lakhs is paid to the Gram Panchayats selected as District Sunder Gaon from the selected talukas, an award amount of Rs. Forty lakhs is paid to the Gram Panchayats selected as District Sunder Gaon.
From the year 2016-17 to 2019-20, eight Gram Panchayats have been selected as Taluka Sundar Gaon every year and the award amount has been paid to them. Also, from the year 2016-17 to 2018-19, three Gram Panchayats and in the year 2019-20, two Gram Panchayats have been selected as District Sundar Gaon and the award amount has been paid to them.
The Gram Panchayats that received awards under the R. R. (Aaba) Patil Sunder Gaon Puraskar Yojana have carried out various works as per the criteria of the Government Decision dated 21.11.2016 issued by the Rural Development Department.
