SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy.

Common Service Centers (CSCs) are village-level entrepreneurs who provide various government services to citizens in rural areas of India. They act as the access points for government services, enabling digital delivery of government programs. CSCs are playing a vital role in bridging the digital divide in India and bringing government services closer to the people. They are empowering citizens, especially in rural areas, by providing them with access to essential services and digital tools.
