The tribal culture of Jawhar is famous for Warli Chitra,, where the people of the Warli tribe depict their lives and nature through the medium of colour. Jawhar was once the capital of the Mukne State and was the seat of the Mahadev Koli clan. It is one of the few remaining tribal regions in Maharashtra, where one can experience the tribal lifestyle.
